Nestfall

Factory defense

On an iPhone or iPad, Safari deletes a website's saved data after about 7 days without a visit, and your factory with it. To keep it, add Nestfall to your Home Screen (Share, then Add to Home Screen), or export it from Settings now and then.

      Something went wrong

Nestfall hit an error. May it send error reports to the developer, now and when it happens again? A report holds the error, the game's version, your browser and screen, and how far into the game you are. Never your save or anything about you.

Lessons appear by themselves the first time they're useful. Replay any of them here.

      How to play

      • Start with wood: with no tool in hand, tap a tree to chop it, or ore and stone to mine them, and carry them to the hub. Research Forestry for lumber camps and sawmills.
      • Industry brings extractors over ore and furnaces to smelt it; then run belts to workshops and the hub.
      • Machines take input from any side and output from the middle of the side their arrow marks.
      • Buildings and research are paid for from the hub's stock, so keep it supplied. Select the hub to open Research.
      • Splitters take items from behind and send them out the other three sides in turn. Underground belts pass items under anything: place an entrance, then an exit ahead of it.
      • Bugs live in territories away from the hub, marked by a nest mound. They leave you alone unless provoked: by building in or next to their territory, by a building coming close to one of them, or by shooting them. Then they attack your nearest buildings until things calm down.
      • Turrets fire iron plates and cannons fire gears. Feed them by belt, from the hub with a hub port, or place them touching the hub.
      • Research the Shipyard, build the ship stage by stage, and launch it to escape. The engines wake every nest nearby.

      Controls

      • Desktop: click to build or select. Drag out a line of belts or walls, then press ✓ or Enter to build it (⟳ or R reverses or rotates it, ✕ or Esc cancels). Right-click to put down the tool, right-drag or WASD to pan. The wheel rotates while you're placing a building and zooms otherwise (Ctrl+wheel always zooms). R also rotates, X demolishes, 1–9, 0 and Shift+1–9 pick buildings, Space pauses, Esc cancels and Ctrl+Z undoes. C copies an area (drag over it, then click where the copy goes) and V pastes it again. Settings changes these keys.
      • Touch: tap to place a blueprint, then ✓ to build it (or tap the same spot again). After a building goes up the tool is put down; double-tap a tool to keep it for several (📌). While you drag a building, its blueprint sits above your finger. Drag with a tool to lay a line, drag with no tool to pan, pinch to zoom. Menu → Settings → "Confirm before building" switches blueprints off. Undo and Copy are on the toolbar.
      • Playing together: press P (or hold a finger still on empty ground) to point at a spot for the others. Only the host pauses or changes the speed.
